As a part of a program to interchange lectors between the De Nayer Institute and the Haagse Hogeschool, both the projectteams presented some results of their research... As a part of a program to interchange lectors between the De Nayer Institute and the Haagse Hogeschool, both the projectteams presented some results of their research... Dries and Tom, from the EMPRO-team, explained the use of some softcore processors, implemented in FPGA's. They focussed more specificly on the MicroBlaze and Nios-processors (Xilinx and Altera) and on the Leon Sparc.
Gerrit and Bjorn, from the EMCAM-team did a presentation on Embedded Linux and on the complete design cycle for embedded systems.
Patrick Pelgrims completed the session with a presentation on uCLinux.

Dag van de Technologie 2004
On Sunday the 14th of March the Flemish government organised the second edition of "De dag van de Technologie". This initiative, in close cooperation with Technopolis Mechelen, focuses on the technology developed and used in Flemish companies, universities and research centres. The research group "Digitale Technieken" also participated. The number of visitors at our institute doubled, when compared to last year.
